The Land Where Lemons Grow is a story of a geographic and chronologic extension of heritage and the embrace of heritage beyond its origin. Drawing connections between the stationary and transitory. It is always a part of our lives and consistency apart of our lives. The transitory because it is never still in movement of land. There is a cultivation of attachments with their land and this new land. Each garment is a delicate nod to lineage and the carrying of heritage that has been cultivated beyond the land. With reference to my grandparents and their deep connection to the heritage and the continuation of tradition. They create a land beyond their land. They carry and pass their practices on.
